Dr. Haroutunian is said to have prescribed Irsay painkillers and ketamine, which is now the focus of the investigation. The Washington Post first reported on the investigation.

Jim Irsay had spoken publicly about his long-standing struggles with substance abuse, including several overdoses and near-death experiences. He spent a long time in California.

The exact circumstances of the FBI investigation remain unclear for the time being. The Colts offered their full cooperation in the case should they be questioned.
