The Frankfurt Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins was not only a sporting highlight of the 2023 NFL season so far. Sporting goods manufacturer “Fanatics” also had reason to celebrate.

The International Games of the 2023 NFL season are in the books. For the first time in history, two games took place on German soil.

Firstly, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins 21:14 at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, before the Indianapolis Colts celebrated a 10:6 victory over the New England Patriots a week later.

According to the Sports Business Journal, not only the victorious teams were able to celebrate, but also sportswear manufacturer Fanatics.

As the magazine reports, the US company set a new weekend sales record at the clash between the Chiefs and Dolphins. According to the report, never before have such high sales been achieved at an international game as at the first game in Frankfurt.

Incidentally, the previous record was set at the first NFL game on German soil between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks last year.

In addition, since the start of the current regular season, Germany is said to be the top-selling market for online purchases outside North America.
