Decision for the Cleveland Browns. The franchise has secured the services of a veteran playmaker for the upcoming season.
NFL news! The Cleveland Browns are strengthening their lineup with a new quarterback. According to insider Adam Schefter, the franchise is providing Joe Flacco with a one-year contract worth four million US dollars.
It is not the first time that the playmaker has signed with the Browns. In the 2023 season, the 40-year-old was already under contract in Cleveland. At the time, he had signed with the team in November after the original starter, Deshaun Watson, suffered a serious injury.
Flacco subsequently led the team into the playoffs and won the “NFL Comeback Player of the Year” award.
Flacco back with the Browns
Last season, the playmaker was signed by the Indianapolis Colts, where he was initially planned as the backup behind Anthony Richardson, but came into action early in the season after Richardson’s injury. However, he was relegated to the bench again as the season progressed.
Kenny Pickett is currently the only other quarterback on the Browns’ roster alongside Watson.
Flacco’s signing could also have an impact on the 2025 NFL Draft. The Browns have the second pick there.
