When will Deshaun Watson return to the field? The Cleveland Browns general manager provides an update.
The Cleveland Browns have realized that trading Deshaun Watson was a big mistake.
Nevertheless, he could still play for them in the NFL after his injury.
According to Pro Football Talk, Cleveland general manager Andrew Berry has confirmed that Watson’s rehabilitation is going well, but that the end of his recovery period is still open.
The quarterback suffered a double Achilles tendon rupture. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit to play next season.
Browns: Watson comeback still uncertain
“It’s too early to say,” Berry said of an exact timing for the comeback. “I can say that Deshaun is doing well in rehab. He’s coming in every day and his recovery is our main focus,” the GM continued.
If Watson does get the green light for the upcoming season, it remains to be seen whether the Browns will let him play again. His performances before the injury have been less than convincing since his trade three years ago.
