Breathe a sigh of relief after shock for the Baltimore Ravens and Mark Andrews. The tight end escaped serious injury in an accident
Mark Andrews barely escaped with a scare. The Baltimore Ravens’ star tight end was involved in a serious traffic accident last Wednesday.
According to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, Andrews made it out of the accident, which caused massive damage to two cars, without any major injuries.
“He’s fine,” Harbaugh said after practice. “It was a violent accident, but he came out of it without a scratch.”
The accident occurred as Andrews was on his way to practice. Around two and a half kilometers before the training ground, Andrews was shocked.
“Thank you all for the thoughts and get well wishes,” Andrews said in a statement. “It makes you realize once again how important it is to wear your seatbelts and stay alert while riding. “
Andrews back in training soon
The 28-year-old was checked out by the Ravens’ medical staff and then attended the franchise’s team meetings.
Andrews did not participate in practice. However, the team announced that an off-day was planned for the star tight end anyway and Andrews was not scheduled to work out. The three-time Pro Bowler will therefore return to training in the coming days.

Andrews is entering his seventh NFL season and is the favorite target of quarterback Lamar Jackson. Since 2019, Andrews has totaled 347 catches and 37 touchdowns. The only tight end to have caught more in that span is Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
