Las Vegas Raiders: Tom Brady’s comeback as quarterback would be easier than thought

Quarterback legend Tom Brady has reached an agreement to join the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner. Alongside this, a return as an active player would not be as complicated as first thought.

Mark Davis, Owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, has confirmed the agreement for Tom Brady to join the franchise as a minority owner.

After it was announced that rookie Jimmy Garoppolo had another foot operation, the rumours about a possible comeback of the star quarterback also picked up speed for the team.

Initially, several reports said that “TB12” would need the consent of all 32 teams if he wanted to return to the field as an active player in addition to joining the franchise.

However, this is not the case. According to a report by “TMZ.com” – and since confirmed to “Pro Football Talk” by a league spokesperson – Brady would only need the approval of 24 league owners should he wish to suit up for the Raiders.

Is Tom Brady returning to the NFL as a player?

This means: At least nine NFL teams would have to oppose a return of the most successful playmaker in history. The same applies to the acquisition of his Raiders shares.

But whether Brady himself has any interest in coming out of retirement remains unaffected.
