The Las Vegas Raiders are all but eliminated from the playoff race with a 10-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Running back Josh Jacobs was furious in the aftermath of the game.

His team, the Las Vegas Raiders, had just blown a 10-3 lead and lost 10-13 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. A bitter blow in the race for the playoffs, the chances of participation are now less than one percent according to projections. Minimal, then.

Once again the Raiders gave away a lead late, once again they are empty-handed. As they have done so often this season. A running gag, if you could laugh at it.

Jacobs can’t.

“That’s bullshit. That’s on us. Our defense held (the Steelers) in check, then we’ve got to do our damn job, too. It’s frustrating,” Jacobs said.

The running back has amassed 1,539 rushing yards, 369 receiving yards and eleven touchdowns so far. Jacobs ranks among the league’s best running backs this season.

“I’m tired of it. Every day I bust my ass here. And so do my teammates. But the results are not right. But I don’t know what else to do either,” said Jacobs.

The 24-year-old’s contract expires after the season. The Raiders face the San Francisco 49ers next week, then take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
