It’s the last fine of the season: Nick Bolton has to pay a fine for a foul in the Super Bowl
The NFL has imposed a single fine after the Super Bowl: The guilty party is Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton, who has to pay a fine of 8,238 US dollars.
The reason for the fine is a horse-collar tackle on 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy in the second quarter of the Super Bowl.
As the NFL announced, a total of 43,764 plays were made in the regular season and playoffs. Bolton’s penalty was the 419th fine of the season. In other words, a fine was imposed on 0.96% of all plays this season.
Nick Bolton was one of the key players in the strong Chiefs defense, which only allowed 22 points in the final game against the San Francisco 49ers. The 23-year-old led his team with 13 tackles and won the second Super Bowl title of his career.
