The NFL has determined the punishment for Justyn Ross for his misconduct in his private life. This also makes it clear that the receiver will soon be available to the Kansas City Chiefs again
Justyn Ross is about to make his comeback. As reported by several US media outlets, the NFL has suspended the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver for six games for violating the rules of conduct. However, the 23-year-old has already had to sit out five games because he is on the “Commissioner Exempt List”.
The NFL Commissioners Exempt List describes the exemption of a player, which can only be carried out by the NFL Commissioner. A player is placed on the list if he has serious problems off the field, e.g. ongoing investigations and pending criminal proceedings.
The missed matches will count towards the penalty, which means Ross could be back on the pitch in Week 15 for the game against the New England Patriots, two days after his 24th birthday.
So far, Ross, who was signed undrafted in 2022, has three receptions for 34 yards in seven appearances this season. He will now be under all the more scrutiny.
According to “ESPN” reporter Adam Schefter, Ross, who missed the 2022 season due to a foot injury, will have to pay back the salary he received during his suspension.

Ross apparently arrested for altercation with girlfriend
Ross was arrested in October for domestic violence and damage to property. He was quickly released in exchange for a payment of 2,500 US dollars, but is not allowed to contact the plaintiff or the witnesses.
In November, the station “KCTV5” reported, citing a court affidavit, that it had been a dispute with his girlfriend, who had called the police. According to the statement, Ross accused her of cheating on him, which is why he allegedly hit her, threw her out of the apartment and threw several things at her.
She also accuses him of damaging her laptop, cell phone, jewelry and car keys. He is also said to have left scratches in her Mercedes with a pair of scissors.
