Kansas City Chiefs: Allegations of animal cruelty against Isaiah Buggs

Two criminal warrants have been issued against Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Isaiah Buggs. He is accused of cruelty to two dogs. However, he defends himself and senses a conspiracy by the authorities

Two police investigations are underway against Isaiah Buggs of the Kansas City Chiefs.

As “Tuscaloosa Patch” reports, the 27-year-old is accused of second-degree cruelty to two dogs. According to the report, he allegedly locked the dogs on his property and denied them any access to water or food.

Buggs released a statement via his agent in which he vehemently denies the allegations. “The dogs in question do not belong to him and he did not even know they were on his property,” said Buggs’ agent.

Instead, he accuses the police of waging a campaign against his client. “The City of Tuscaloosa’s decision to open the case is part of a concerted effort by the city and the police to tarnish Mr. Buggs’ name and reputation,” he said.

According to the statement, the city wants Buggs to close his local restaurant. Buggs had already been wrongfully arrested twice in the past two months.

However, the city did not publicize these arrests and offered to leave it at that if he voluntarily gave up his business. Buggs had refused this in order to find out the reasons for the city’s behavior instead.

Buggs was selected in the 2019 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, after stints with the Las Vegas Raiders and Detroit Lions he was traded to the Chiefs in 2023, but was only used on the practice squad there.
