The NFL has suspended defensive tackle Grover Stewart of the Indianapolis Colts for six games. The reason is the abuse of so-called PED, or Performance Enhancing Drugs. The offender has already apologised.
In the coming weeks, the Indianapolis Colts will have to do without their starter at the defensive tackle position, Grover Stewart.
The 29-year-old was suspended for the abuse of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). He will have to sit out a total of six games and will not be able to return until December against the Tennessee Titans. He will also miss the Colts game in Germany against the New England Patriots at the beginning of November.
Indianapolis Colts: Stewart shows remorse
The Colts defensive ace didn’t complain and instead showed remorse. “I want to apologise to the NFL, de Colts, my teammates and my family,” Stewart wrote in his Instagram story.
“I respect the integrity of the game and would never intentionally put myself or my team in this situation,” he continued. Most players are unaware of taking banned substances, as it is already in some cereal bars. “It’s me and no one else who is responsible for my body and what I put in it. “
Colts DT Grover Stewart’s apology, which he shared on IG:
“I respect the integrity of the game and would never purposefully put myself or the team in this kind of situation. I am responsible for what I put in my body, and I should have taken the proper steps to educate myself.” https://t.co/eqBe9iz9ID pic.twitter.com/23RVogPORW
