The Houston Texans enter the new NFL season with high expectations. Quarterback C.J. Stroud speaks highly of his offense

After a surprisingly strong 2023 NFL season, the Houston Texans have high expectations. Making it to the Divisional Round should only have been the start of a successful era at best.

High hopes are pinned on quarterback C.J. Stroud, who impressed even the most optimistic observers in his rookie season and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year after a strong season.

The Texans upgraded once again to back up their performance. In wide receiver Stefon Diggs, one of the best pass receivers of recent years came to the Texan metropolis, and running back Joe Mixon was also brought in.

Together with the two shooting stars of the pre-season, Tank Dell and Nico Collins, as well as the experienced tight end Dalton Schultz, Stroud has numerous weapons at his disposal. And the playmaker is very excited about these possibilities

Texans need to validate performances

However, the quarterback knows it will be difficult enough to even begin to validate the preseason. “It’s not going to be easy,” says Stroud. You have “a target on our back. But that’s what you want and that’s what I know from Ohio State,” he said, referring to his college days.

Basically, he feels “really honored and blessed that I have so many teammates that want this challenge and that guys want to play here. This Texas team is not for everyone. It’s tough here, and we’re fortunate to play a game that we’ve played since we were kids,” Stroud continued.
