Russell Wilson plays a weak season for the Denver Broncos and gets only little support from the head coach

The quarterback is playing the weakest season of his career by far. His quarterback rating is only 82.1 – a weak value. In only one game so far this season has he managed more than one touchdown pass. And that was two months ago.

No backup for Wilson

Inevitably, the question is whether a quarterback change could be an option. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett doesn’t seem to rule it out entirely. When asked if he would consider changing quarterbacks if it would give the team a better chance to win, Hackett simply responded with, “Not right now.”

This suggests that could change at any time. In any case, a genuine backing for the quarterback would have sounded different. Wilson’s backup is currently Brett Rypien, who has only played five games in the NFL so far, including two as the starting quarterback.
