After the firing of head coach Hackett, much of the blame is being dumped on Russell Wilson. Teammate Jerry Jeudy is now coming to his quarterback’s rescue and firing back at the media
After the firing of Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett, a lot of the blame has been dumped on quarterback Russell Wilson. The signal caller himself already stated that he wishes he had played better for his former coach.
Now some teammates are coming to the aid of the beleaguered playmaker. Receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler, for example, showed their support on Twitter. Offensive tackle Garett Bolles also voiced his support for Wilson on social media.
Pass receiver Jeudy, in particular, is less than enthusiastic about the current situation. “The media is trying to make it look like it’s something it’s not. You all don’t know what’s going on in the locker room,” Jeudy is quoted as saying by “ESPN. “

And continued, “I’m just tired of reading things about him that make it seem like he’s not a good teammate. It’s all unnecessary stuff that’s not true,” the receiver rumbled.
Wilson is having the worst year of his NFL career this season. With only twelve touchdown passes and a passer rating of 82.6, he is not convincing.
But teammate Jeudy doesn’t want to hear about all the criticism. “I just wanted to express that he is a good teammate and that he works hard. And I feel like I need to say that because there are a lot of false stories going around here that I’m getting tired of.”
The Broncos stand at a record of 4-11 and have long since been eliminated from the playoff race. In the wake of a disappointing season, head coach Nathaniel Hackett was forced to resign after Week 15.
