Colin Kaepernick: Los Angeles Chargers apparently interested in signing him

Jim Harbaugh is back in the NFL! Is the ex-head coach of the San Francisco 49ers now bringing one of his former protégés back to the NFL? Rumors are swirling in the USA about Colin Kapernick

Colin Kaepernick hasn’t played a game in the NFL since 2016. The quarterback was released after poor performances with the San Francisco 49ers and several political statements against racism in the NFL.

Several comeback attempts have since failed for various reasons.

With the appointment of Jim Harbaugh as head coach at the Los Angeles Chargers, the door for an NFL return for Kaepernick, albeit not as a player, could open again. Rumors have been circulating in the USA for a few days now.

The reason is reports from 2022, when the Minnesota Vikings were considering signing Jim Harbaugh. According to the report, he had plans to add Kaepernick to his coaching staff as QB coach

Kapernick had recently spoken out in favor of his former coach when he was being considered as the new head coach of the LA Chargers. He told USA Today: “Harbaugh is the only coach you call if you want to compete for a championship. Period!”

Harbaugh himself had told “The Athletic” in 2020 that it was “absurd” that the former second-round pick didn’t have a job in the NFL.
