Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow picked up tips from Aaron Rodgers for calf injury.

Joe Burrow is currently battling a persistent calf injury. He got tips from Aaron Rodgers on how to properly deal with the ailment.

Quarterback Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals has sought advice from Aaron Rodgers in the wake of the calf injury he suffered in the preseason that has visibly slowed him down in the early weeks.

“He’s been dealing with calf issues his whole career and I wanted to use him as a source of information and hear his thoughts on what he might have done,” Burrow told a news conference. “He’s been through it all and he’s been great about it.”

With their signal caller banged up, the Bengals were slow to get out of the starting gate, not getting their first win of the season until week three against the Los Angeles Rams. Rodgers himself broke a lance for Burrow on the “Pat McAfee Show”.

“I don’t think people realise how much pain he was in and how limited his mobility was,” Rodgers, who is currently suffering from a torn Achilles tendon, said of the Bengals’ success against the Rams.

The four-time MVP continued, “But for him to come through and make enough plays to win, like I wrote him, that’s what great players do. They show up and play despite the pain and don’t make a big deal out of it. “

Burrow explained he wants to continue to rely on Rodgers’ tips. “He’s a great guy. When you have a guy like that who’s willing to help, you’re going to use him,” he said.

The 26-year-old got his big payday with the Bengals just before the season started. He signed a five-year deal worth $275 million, $219 million of which is guaranteed. Burrow had led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in the 2021 season.
