Cincinnati Bengals draft Moss son for division clash against Pittsburgh Steelers

Thaddeus Moss is set to play in his first NFL game. The Cincinnati Bengals are drafting Randy Moss’ son from the practice squad to the squad for the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Munich – A famous name could be back in the NFL stats in Week 12. The Cincinnati Bengals have moved Thaddeus Moss up from the practice squad to their active roster for the home game against division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 23-year-old is the son of Hall-of-Famer Randy Moss. Unlike his famous father, however, he does not play wide receiver but is listed as a tight end. Despite a strong final year of college for LSU – 570 receiving yards for four touchdowns – he came up empty in the 2020 draft.

Not happy in Washington

In the end, Moss decided to join the Washington football team despite offers from the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals, but ended up on the Injured Reserve list before the final cut.

In April, he finally had to pack his bags and the Bengals grabbed him. There, the number 81 was part of the practice squad after Moss caught eight balls for 64 yards in the preseason. So now he gets his chance to prove himself, as each team can call up two practice squad members per game day.

On Monday, however, it’s back to his usual environment, according to the Bengals. Unless Moss lives up to his last name and comes up trumps
