Cincinnati Bengals: Assistant coach Adam Zimmer dead at 38.

The NFL is mourning the death of Adam Zimmer. The assistant coach of the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense and son of Mike Zimmer, the former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, has died at the age of only 38.

Munich/Cincinnati – The NFL world is mourning the loss of Adam Zimmer.

The son of former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer passed away on Monday at the age of just 38. After working as an assistant for his father with the Vikings, he was most recently employed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an offensive assistant.

His coaching career in the NFL began in 2006 as assistant linebackers coach with the New Orleans Saints, with whom he won Super Bowl XLIV.

Details of Zimmer’s death are unclear at this time.

His sister Corri wrote a moving message after his death. “The kindest, sweetest, most family loving and sports loving soul ever has passed away. My heart is broken and it hurts beyond belief.”
