Buffalo Bills snatch division win from Miami Dolphins and secure No. 2 seed in AFC

The Buffalo Bills have won the final game of the NFL regular season, snatching a division win from the Miami Dolphins on the final play of the game.

The Buffalo Bills have won the final showdown of the NFL regular season and snatched home field advantage in the playoffs from the Miami Dolphins.

In the final game of Week 18, the Bills won 21-14 (14-7) against the Dolphins to secure their fourth consecutive AFC East division title.

It capped a spectacular comeback by the Bills, who had just a 21 percent chance of making the playoffs after Week 13 and a four percent chance of winning the division.

But the Bills then celebrated five wins in a row and go into the playoffs with plenty of confidence. The Dolphins, on the other hand, lost three of their final five games of the season.

In Sunday night’s clash (local time), Miami’s offense, which has been so strong for much of the season, disappointed, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa not performing well, completing 17/27 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill collected 82 yards and his twelfth touchdown of the season. With 1,717 receiving yards, he missed the magic mark of 2,000 yards, which seemed possible for a long time.

Bills receiver Hartey provides the highlight

Bills quarterback Josh Allen also experienced highs and lows in the game, although the highs were much more pronounced for him. He completed 30 of his 38 pass attempts for 359 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two picks.

A highlight was provided by Bills receiver Deonte Hartey, who returned a Dolphins punt return 96 yards to the end zone. It was the longest punt return in Bills history.

With the win, the Bills secured the No. 2 seed in the AFC and will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the playoffs next Sunday at 7 p.m. German time.

The Dolphins, on the other hand, slipped to sixth place in the AFC and have to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday morning (2:00 a.m. German time).
