Buffalo Bills: McDermott “prays for those affected “
“I’m not going to go into who Matt is, what his character is like and all those things. I don’t think that’s appropriate at the moment. I can only tell them that my heart and thoughts and prayers are with those affected. And that includes Matt, it includes both sides here, the victim and those involved. Our areas go out to them,” the head coach elaborated.
The Bills themselves already took a stand on the complaint against the rookie on Thursday night. “Due to the seriousness of the allegation, we have thoroughly reviewed this matter. As this is an ongoing civil matter, we will have no further comment at this point,” the franchise let slip. Similar comments were made by the NFL, which declined to comment further at this time.
It is unknown how the allegations will affect Araiza’s appointment to the final 53-man roster.
