Baltimore Ravens – Lamar Jackson admits: “I was too nervous in the playoffs”

Lamar Jackson is not known for his success in the playoffs. Now he has admitted that he was “nervous” in the postseason.

In the past five years, there has been no quarterback who has performed better in the NFL regular season than Lamar Jackson. Not even Patrick Mahomes.

However, in an interview with the Baltimore Ravens’ own media, he revealed why Jackson has two MVP trophies but no Super Bowl ring.

The simple reason: he was “too nervous”.

“I was nervous before playoff games. Probably too nervous,” confessed the multiple All-Pro. However, he has learned from his mistakes, as he says himself. ‘I now try to calm myself down and not make any rash decisions in the game. That comes with experience.’

Henry full of praise: “Next to him, everyone would look successful”

Praise comes from his teammate Derrick Henry, who, like his playmaker, was voted into the Pro Bowl. However, he doesn’t want to make too much of it. “It doesn’t matter who’s next to Lamar. Next to him, everyone would look successful,” Henry said.

“My success shouldn’t take anything away from his achievements and vice versa,” the former Tennessee Titan wanted to make clear.

When it comes to the debate about who should win the MVP award this season, Henry has a clear opinion: ”Whether it’s Josh Allen or Lamar – we should be happy to experience both and celebrate their achievements.”

Unsurprisingly, he does have a favorite: “Lamar is the best player in the league.”
