Ex-Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores sues the NFL and several teams for racism, including the New York Giants. A few days later, the franchise hires Brandon Brown, a black assistant general manager.
Munich/New York – Just a week ago, Brian Flores sued the New York Giants, among others, for racism in the hiring process. The Giants rejected these accusations.
Whether coincidental or not, just at the time when the issue is really boiling up in the media, the New York Giants announced the hiring of a black assistant general manager.

Brandon Brown will take the position and work alongside general manager Joe Schoen. The 33-year-old spent the past five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he most recently served as Director of Player Personnel.
Brown was also a GM candidate with the Minnesota Vikings
Brown also had a job interview with the Minnesota Vikings for the position of General Manager. However, the decision there was Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
“Brandon has a good reputation around the league as a leader, evaluator and consensus builder,” Schoen said. “He is a tireless worker and has a progressive approach to the evaluation process. Brandon will help lead the player personnel department and support the overall football operation. “
