The coronavirus pandemic is without question making for an unusual NFL season. The New England Patriots have now released details for their fans.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic with rising infection numbers in the USA, the NFL continues to plan for the season to start on September 10th.

But situation remains uncertain and fragile. What the conditions will actually be like in September is still completely unclear in July.

Nevertheless, the teams are planning to prepare the fans as best they can in case of an emergency. Even if it is partly a planning into the blue.

The New England Patriots have now informed their season ticket holders that the franchise is planning on 20 percent of capacity, provided spectators are admitted.

Since the Gillette Stadium normally holds 66,000 fans, around 13,000 spectators will be allowed on the stands in the 2020 season. There, masks are compulsory, as is a minimum distance of two metres between the stands. Tickets will be arranged in blocks of no more than ten seats, and the first eight rows of the stands will not be used at all, the pats further announced.

After all: parking is free
A little treat for the fans due to the special and difficult circumstances: parking for the home games in 2020 will be free of charge at all parking spaces at Gillette Stadium. In 2019, a parking space for a car will cost up to 60 dollars.
