Five new NFL teams have secured the marketing rights for German-speaking countries and are likely to significantly increase their presence in this country.
With the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Indianapolis Colts, the New York Giants, the Detroit Lions and the Seattle Seahawks, five new NFL franchises have been granted marketing rights for German-speaking countries.
Particularly interesting for German NFL fans: an appearance by Amon-Ra St. Brown in the coming years is becoming increasingly likely!
In a press release, the Lions expressed their excitement about the new opportunities: “The Lions will develop specific fan engagement strategies tailored to the specifics of each market, including the launch of social media profiles in the region’s local languages.”
“Moving forward, the club plans to cultivate and engage its fan base in these regions through initiatives such as youth football education, localized retail and merchandising offerings, and philanthropic efforts,” the Lions continued.
The Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers, the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had previously secured these rights.
