After six seasons, it’s probably over. According to NFL insiders, Leighton VanDer Esch will have to end his career. The 28-year-old last played for the Dallas Cowboys, who drafted him in the first round in 2018. Due to a neck injury, he only played in five games last season
Cowboys starting LB Leighton Vander Esch is medically retiring from football after a six-year career. With 557 tackles in 71 games, Vander Esch was a Pro Bowler before a neck injury ended his career.
