NFL: Defamation lawsuit filed again against Cowboys owner Jerry Jones

Another lawsuit has been filed against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. He allegedly defamed a woman who claimed he was her father

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is facing another defamation lawsuit. As reported by “ESPN”, Alexandra Davis is said to have re-filed her lawsuit against Jerry Jones.

A court had dismissed part of her lawsuit last month, giving Davis and her team a chance to edit the document to withstand a challenge from Jones.

The revised complaint now alleges that Jones, attorney Donald P. Jack and communications consultant Jim Wilkinson devised a scheme to portray Davis as a “blackmailer” through a public relations campaign “knowingly based on false statements and allegations.”

“During their defamatory campaign against Plaintiff, Defendants either knew that the statements they made were false or knew sufficient facts such that they should have entertained serious doubts as to the truth of their defamatory statements,” the new lawsuit states.

The new lawsuit also alleges that Jones and Co. tried to implicate Davis in a “conspiracy with other individuals who allegedly attempted to extort money from the Jones family. “

No paternity test completed yet

In the original lawsuit, Davis is trying to prove, among other things, that Jerry Jones is her father.

Last year, a judge in the original case ordered Jones to undergo a paternity test. This test continues to be delayed
