After all, it’s year one after Tom Brady. Aaron Rodgers’ fresh start with the New York Jets. Sean Payton’s return is eagerly anticipated. Odell Beckham Jr. now catching passes from Lamar Jackson. Lots of new talent looking to prove themselves.

NFL season in “Madden 24”: Jets miss the playoffs

So Desmond Ridder comes up trumps for the Atlanta Falcons, throwing for 4895 yards and 31 touchdowns – but it’s still not enough for the playoffs. Jimmy Garoppolo even delivered 5111 passing yards including 24 touchdowns.

Rodgers ended up with 4057 yards through the air and 32 touchdowns. But with a 7-10 record, the Jets miss the postseason. The MVP, meanwhile, is Dak Prescott, who not only thrills Dallas Cowboys fans: 5208 passing yards for 43 touchdowns with a passing rate of 70 percent are truly presentable.

Two important titles go to the Cincinnati Bengals: Zac Taylor is named Coach of the Year after a 13-4 season, Joe Mixon is named Offensive Player of the Year in the AFC. In the NFC, Cooper Kupp wins the award for best offensive star. Among the defensive stars, Von Miller holds his own in the AFC and Micah Parsons in the NFC.

Among the rookies, these are the winners: Anthony Richardson in the AFC and Jayden Reed in the NFC prevail. The defence awards go to Will Anderson in the AFC and Jack Campbell in the NFC.

Cowboys and Bengals with bye week in playoffs

Surprisingly, three teams from the NFC South make the playoffs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. Also in: the Dallas Cowboys as the first seed, the Seattle Seahawks, the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles. In the AFC, the Bengals are the regular-season crusaders. Behind them come the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos in the postseason.

The football world is also stunned several times in the knockout rounds. The Broncos, for example, easily end the Bengals’ season in the Divisional Round and, like the Rodgers-less Packers, see off Dallas to reach the Championship Games.

Here, however, there is not much to order for the two underdogs. The Chiefs beat the Broncos 38-23, while on the other side of the table, the Buccaneers get the better of Green Bay 28-10.

Mahomes throws Chiefs to Super Bowl win

So Super Bowl LVIII will be a remake of Super Bowl LV from 2021, Brady’s last great triumph. Who would have thought the Florida franchise would march right through to the biggest game of all without the “GOAT”?

But this time Patrick Mahomes and Co. turn the tables and win 28:17, so the Chiefs star wins his third Super Bowl and, incidentally, the title of Super Bowl MVP. In view of his 234 passing yards for four touchdowns and one interception, he deserved it.
