What a shock for Leonard Fournette!
The 28-year-old NFL star was driving down the highway in Tampa Bay on Tuesday when his car suddenly caught fire and burst into flames. Fournette miraculously escaped injury.
The Florida Highway Patrol told TMZ that the fire was caused by a mechanical problem and not an accident. According to the report, the flames were extinguished by the local fire service.
Dodge Durango almost completely burnt out
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star, who is currently a free agent, shared footage of his Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat almost completely burned out.
On Instagram, the running back and 2021 Super Bowl champion wrote: “Oh man it was one of those days today but I want to thank God. My car caught fire while I was driving. “

Fournette shared video of his burned SUV on the highway in his Instagram.

Within the NFL, there was excitement, but also relief. Many players reacted to Fournette’s post.
“What the hell bro! I’m so thankful. God has spoken,” wrote Frank Clark of the Denver Broncos.
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who is moving from the L.A. Rams to the Miami Dolphins for the new season, also reacted with relief, posting a thank you emoji. Likewise, Michael Gallup, Diontae Johnson, Marcus Spears, Tevin Coleman and Breshad Perriman have already posted their thanks to Fournette.
