Phillip Dorsett will be playing for the Seattle Seahawks next season after his move from the New England Patriots. In a conversation with various members of the press he explains what the Patriots could not offer the Wide Receiver.
In the end it worked out, Phillip Dorsett signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
In a press round the Wide Receiver explained that he had already received an offer from the Seahawks last year, but decided to go with the Patriots.
“I’ve had many offers, but I think I fit in best with the Seahawks. However, I feel that I made this decision perhaps a year too late. When the Seahawks wanted me again, I didn’t want to make the same mistake again,” explained Dorsett.
New England lacked fun
The former first-round pick has no regrets about his time in New England. “I’m not saying I didn’t have a good time. I’ve been to the Super Bowl twice in three years and won a ring.”
Dorsett’s problem? Apparently, he didn’t have enough fun. “In the end, training was all about business. The cubicle was just business. Nevertheless, I had an exciting time with the Patriots and met some great people.”
Now Dorsett is looking forward to his time in Seattle. “In addition to Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, I already know some of the people on the coaching staff. Russell Wilson is also an outstanding quarterback and I think my skills fit perfectly into the team’s offensive concept.”
