NFL pro Foster Moreau is nearing a contract signing with the New Orleans Saints despite his cancer diagnosis received in March.

NFL pro Foster Moreau is close to signing with the New Orleans Saints despite his cancer diagnosis received in March. ESPN reported Wednesday that the 26-year-old tight end has reportedly reached an agreement with the Louisiana State franchise on a three-year contract worth up to $12 million.

Moreau had introduced himself to the Saints as a potential addition back in March. In the process, the New Orleans medical team diagnosed the 26-year-old with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. According to his agent, Moreau has now had positive results following treatment and has been given the “green light” to make a comeback to the football field.

Moreau, born in New Orleans, had played for the Oakland and Las Vegas Raiders, respectively, from 2019 until the end of the past season. At the club, he was teammates with Stuttgart’s Jakob Johnson until the end.
