Cincinnati Bengals: GM comes clean on Tee Higgins trade rumours.

According to general manager Duke Tobin, the Cincinnati Bengals have no plans to trade wide receiver Tee Higgins.

On the sidelines of the NFL Combine, Cincinnati Bengals general manager Duke Tobin dismissed trade rumours surrounding Tee Higgins.

“In my opinion, Tee Higgins is an important part of the Cincinnati Bengals. The trade rumours are a little ridiculous right now,” the Bengals boss said.

Higgins is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has posted more than 1,000 receiving yards per season in each of the last two years.

Speculation has been mounting recently that the receiver could leave the Bengals in the upcoming offseason.

Contracts of offensive quartet expire

Over the next two years, the cheap rookie contracts of the Bengals’ offensive quartet of Higgins, quarterback Joe Burrow and receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd will expire.

With priority likely to be given to extensions with superstars Burrow and Chase, it remains intriguing whether the Bengals can also retain Higgins and Boyd.
