Tennessee Titans place rubbish bags outside Taylor Lewan’s home.

The Tennessee Titans released star player Taylor Lewan less than a week ago. Now the O-lineman is responding on social media. Because the NFL team just slammed the rest of Lewan’s stuff in rubbish bags on his doorstep.

You know how it is. After a long partnership, two parties part ways who have experienced a lot. One issue is often who will take or pick up their things and when.

Apparently Taylor Lewan missed this point in time. Or wasn’t interested.

Taylor Lewan: Tennessee Titans crowd favorite

His extroverted demeanor off the court quickly earned him a place in the hearts of Titans fans. His strong performance earned him big money. The left tackle earned close to 82 million euros in nine seasons.

But the Titans disappointed last season. A record of 7-10 meant no playoffs. General manager Jon Robinson had to go. Ran Carthon took over. And cleaned up.

Along with other big earners like wide receiver Robert Woods or linebacker Zach Cunningham and kicker Randy Bullock, Lewan also had to go. That saves the Titans 37 million and the cut of Lewan, who already tore his ACL twice, didn’t even mean “dead money” that could affect cap space.

Taylor Lewan: Garbage bag greetings to Tennessee Titans

Despite that, Lewan remains a deserving player who has been linked to some new teams. The Cincinnati Bengals are considered the favourite for a deal here. But do you have to deal with the left tackle the way the Titans did afterward?

A week after Lewan’s cut, he posted a picture of trash bags outside his front door. “Regards to the Titans who just put my stuff outside. They even let me have the shoulder protector,” Lewan joked on Twitter.

It is not known whether the Titans asked Lewan to pick up the items. Because otherwise it would be more understandable to place the things in rubbish bags on his doorstep before they actually end up in the trash. Nevertheless, an inglorious end to a long relationship.
