2023 Draft: Chicago Bears look set to trade No. 1 pick

The Chicago Bears have the very first pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. But the franchise is reportedly leaning towards trading away the right to select – and the list of possible takers is long

It’s that time again on April 27, when the 2023 NFL Draft begins in Kansas City.

The No. 1 pick this year is held by the Chicago Bears, but according to “ESPN,” the franchise is “leaning” toward giving up the right to select at the first position. As such, several teams have reportedly already approached Bears officials to negotiate a trade.

Do the Chicago Bears give up the No. 1 pick in the draft?

There are currently good reasons for several teams in the top 10 to think about a trade.

For example, the Houston Texans (2nd pick), Indianapolis Colts (4th pick), Las Vegas Raiders (7th pick), Atlanta Falcons (8th pick) and Carolina Panthers (9th pick) are all mentioned as possible candidates.

The favourite for the first pick this year is quarterback Bryce Young of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Since 1967, the No. 1 pick has been traded a total of twelve times, and twice in 1984.
