The fans of the Kansas City Chiefs are showing generosity after their Super Bowl victory. A six-figure sum will go to the foundation of Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason Kelce
This should at least take some of the pain out of losing Super Bowl LVII.
Kansas City Chiefs fans donated over $100,000 to Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason Kelce’s foundation after the NFL final.
The older brother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had founded “Be Philly” last October.
The goal of the initiative is to provide financial support to organizations working to improve the lives of students in Philadelphia public schools.
Donation goal exceeded
The fundraising goal of $100,000 was still far off at the beginning of the week. As of Monday, the foundation had raised just $9,900.
A Chiefs fan account on Twitter found “Be Philly” and called for donations of $14.90 each.
The amount is arrived at by adding up the back numbers of Jason (62) and Travis Kelce (87).
By Friday, they had clearly surpassed the initiative’s fundraising goal. In the meantime, 124,975 dollars have been collected.
