German cornerback Marcel Dabo is staying with the Indianapolis Colts. The team announced that the International Pathway Player from Baden-Württemberg has been signed to a “Future/Reserve Contract” for the upcoming 2023 season.

The team announced on Monday that the German has signed a “Future/Reserve Contract”.
This means that he will remain with the Colts for the 2023 season.

Dabo had joined the league for the 2022 season as an “International Pathway Player” through the program of the same name. He had previously impressed NFL scouts at the tryout, the International Combine, in London and was subsequently selected for the IPP.
In preparation, the player from Baden-Württemberg was allowed to train with the team from the AFC South and get used to the NFL level.
Dabo made his first appearance in an NFL game in the Colts’ second preseason game against the Detroit Lions. Here he was used as a safety on 33 defensive snaps and recorded three solo tackles.
Dabo will be eligible for his first regular-season game with the Colts when he returns to the team.
