It has been just over a day since the cardiac arrest of safety Damar Hamlin in the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. He remains in critical condition in intensive care. Now his uncle reveals: he had to be resuscitated again in hospital after being resuscitated on the field.
For the first time since the shock moment involving Damar Hamlin in the NFL’s Monday Night Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills, there is an update around the 24-year-old’s health.
This was provided by his uncle, he was answering questions to media outside the Cincinnati hospital where Hamlin is currently fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.
UPDATE: Friend of Hamlin clarifies: Bills player was resuscitated only once
After Hamlin’s uncle told him the Bills safety had been resuscitated multiple times, Jordan Rooney is now clarifying that it was a misunderstanding. Hamlin was resuscitated only once and that was on the field. Moreover, his condition is still critical.
Damar is still sedated and in critical condition in the ICU.

Shock news: Hamlin had to be resuscitated in the ambulance again
At first it was only known that Hamlin had already had to be resuscitated on the pitch with cardiac compressions. As his uncle Dorrian Glenn has now revealed, that was not the only resuscitation.
"After he came into hospital he had to be resuscitated again," Glenn said, according to the Daily Mail. "I can only express my gratitude for the doctors who acted. My nephew wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them."
"I have never cried so much in my life. He basically died on that field and they brought him back to life," the Strong Safetie's uncle says of his feelings.
Hamlin's condition, meanwhile, has improved slightly. "He no longer has to be on 100 per cent ventilation, only 50 per cent," Glenn clarifies. Hamlin's condition is still critical.
