J.J. Watt of the Arizona Cardinals has caused a laugh with an amusing “Twitter” counter. Reasons for the action are his childhood idol and an NFL record.

The defensive end posted on Twitter a statistic of the pros who have reached 75 career sacks in the NFL the fastest. Watt ranks second here. Long-time Eagles and Packers star Reggie White is enthroned in first place, with J.J.’s brother T.J. Watt in third.

The Cardinals star wrote: “Amidst my childhood idol and a kid I used to eat cereal next to every day.”

Sandwiched between my childhood idol and a child I ate cereal next to everyday growing up.

Some Twitter users didn’t seem to buy that Watt said White was his childhood hero. One wrote in response, “Nothing wrong with celebrating his achievements. But just be real and not fake. “

J.J. Watt replies to Twitter haters “Tell me more about my own life!”

The background: White finished his NFL career in 2000, Watt was born in 1989. “No ten or eleven year old at the time said Reggie White was their idol,” the critic continued.

Watt then posted a picture from his school newspaper as proof. On it: Seven-year-old J.J. Watt calling Reggie White his childhood idol. Addressing his doubter, Watt amusedly wrote: “Please tell me more about my own life. Don’t be fake, be real.” And punctuated his post with a laugh emoji.

White needed 63 games for 75-NFL sacks at the time. For J.J. Watt in second place it was 83 games, his brother T.J. in third place needed 84 games.
