Cologne – Superstar Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers have suffered another setback in the fight for the play-offs in the NFL. The Bucs were beaten 23-34 at home by the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday despite leading 17-0 at one point.
The 45-year-old quarterback committed four turnovers, something that had not happened to the seven-time Super Bowl champion since 2011. It was the eighth loss of the season for Brady’s team, which reduced the lead of the NFC South division leaders.
Jakob Johnson celebrated a last-second victory with the Las Vegas Raiders. The team led by the Stuttgart native won 30-24 against the New England Patriots, with the decisive touchdown coming as the clock expired. New England had the ball, but Chandler Jones intercepted a pass, ran into the end zone and provided the decision. The Raiders are now at six wins and eight losses.
The Dallas Cowboys became the sixth team to clinch a play-off spot despite a 34-40 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
