The New York Giants end their winless streak and move closer to the playoffs with a win over the Commanders. The previously losing Dallas Cowboys also have reason to cheer.
Munich – In the Sunday Night Game of Week 15, the New York Giants were able to celebrate their first success after four consecutive winless games. The “Big Blue” managed a 20:12 victory at the division rival Washington Commanders.
The Giants now have a record of 8-5 and are a good deal closer to a place in the playoffs. However, the victory of the visitors was especially significant for a franchise that was not involved in the game at all.
The Dallas Cowboys, who lost 34:40 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, have now reached the play-offs.
Thibodeaux convinces the Giants
The outstanding man in the game at FedEx Field was Giants rookie edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. He scored the first touchdown for his team and prevented a possible tie late in the game.
The quarterbacks, meanwhile, were unremarkable. Daniel Jones completed 21 of 32 passes for 160 yards and no score for the Giants, Taylor Heinicke recorded 17 passes for 249 yards and one touchdown for the Commanders.
