Aqib Talib also charged! Brother of former NFL star shoots football coach.

In August, the brother of former NFL star Aqib Talib shoots an opposing football coach after an altercation. Now the longtime Broncos star himself is being sued by the victim’s family

Munich – Last August, a fatal shooting occurred in Lancaster in the US state of Texas. In front of his son, 43-year-old football coach Michael Hickmon was shot dead. The shooter at the time was Yaqub Salik Talib, brother of former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib.

Now it has been announced that the longtime Broncos pro is also facing a lawsuit. So the victim’s family is suing him for wrongful death.

Explanation: Under US civil law, a wrongful death claim can be brought against a person if they can be held liable for a death.

Victim’s family sues Aqib Talib

This is what the family of the person killed considers to be the case with Aqib Talib. For example, the lawsuit states that both Talib brothers – who coached the opposing football team, the North Dallas United Bobcats – “became physically and verbally abusive” after coach Hickmon’s D.E.A. Dragons scored a touchdown.

Aqib Talik allegedly confronted Hickmon and threw the first punch at him. This in turn is said to have aggravated the already tense situation after the game.

According to the statement of claim, the man who was killed “backed down to get out of the situation”. Afterwards, Yaqub Talib pulled out a gun and fired five shots.

Offender was a previously convicted felon

The perpetrator, who would not have been allowed to carry a gun anyway after a previous felony, was already indicted for murder by a Dallas County grand jury in September.

In addition to the two Talib brothers, the victim’s family has also sued the Big 12 Youth Sports League for allowing Yaqub Talib, a convicted felon, to hold a coaching position.

The lawsuit seeks damages of one million dollars and a request for a trial by jury.
