Antonio Brown is wanted on a warrant – and barricades himself from the police

Ex-NFL star Antonio Brown is wanted on a warrant for domestic violence. The former Buccaneers receiver is apparently holed up in his own home from police

Munich – The negative reports surrounding Antonio Brown do not stop. On Thursday, Tampa police stated that the former Buccaneers receiver is wanted on a warrant. Now it becomes known that AB has made himself a prisoner in his own house.

Several US media outlets are reporting that the athlete has apparently barricaded himself in his home. According to “ABC Action News”, the officers already used a megaphone to ask Brown to turn himself in. However, he did not comply with this request.

Officials said they had already spoken to Brown’s lawyer. “We’re not going anywhere,” the officers made clear, according to the report.

Brown won’t turn himself in to police

Tampa police cited a domestic violence incident that allegedly occurred on November 28 as the reason for the warrant. A verbal altercation between a woman and the former NFL star allegedly turned physical, according to officials.

Brown was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on January 6 after jogging off the field in last season’s game against the New York Jets and previously disposing of his gear. He did not sign with any other NFL team after that and wanted to fully concentrate on his music career.

Brown has had frequent run-ins with the law in the past. As recently as late October, he was ordered to pay $1.2 million to a Broward County truck driver he allegedly assaulted. This incident had already occurred in 2020.
