Pittsburgh Steelers: T.J. Watt with surprise comeback against Philadelphia Eagles?

T.J. Watt is on the road to recovery after a pectoral muscle injury. Could the 28-year-old outside linebacker even return to the field for his Pittsburgh Steelers’ clash with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday?

Munich – A surprising comeback is on the horizon for the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Outside linebacker T.J. Watt could possibly be back on the field for the first time after overcoming a pectoral muscle injury and knee surgery.

T.J. Watt: “I feel good “

On Friday, the 28-year-old left an outing against the Steelers at least open. “I don’t know. We’ll have to see,” Watt said regarding a comeback on Sunday, “I feel good. Today was a good day. This week has been a good week for me. I just want to keep going in the right direction. “

“Overall, it’s just about getting my body playing again. There’s a lot of aspects that go into playing in an NFL game, and I feel like I’m on the right track.”

Watt’s first practice Wednesday began the 21-day window in which the team can bring last year’s Defensive Player of the Year off the Injured Reserve list; he could be named to the game-day squad by Saturday afternoon local time.

Pittsburgh Steelers: five losses without T.J. Watt

Watt was injured in mid-September on Game Day 1 during his Steelers’ game at the Cincinnati Bengals and initially even a season-ending injury was feared. Since his injury, the Steelers have lost five of their six games, the team is 2-5 and enters the game at the still unbeaten Eagles as underdogs.

Immediately after the injury, Watt had already shown his confidence again via Twitter, posting an Arnold Schwarzenegger GIF from his legendary film series “Terminator” with the message “I’ll be back”. Now it could be as early as matchday 8.
