One-shell rule: elimination of a vexed rule opens up new opportunities for NFL team
With the elimination of the one-shell rule, NFL teams are once again allowed to use different coloured helmets this year.
The rule went into effect for the 2013 season and took away the ability of many clubs to wear their popular throwback jerseys.
Numerous teams, such as the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, have already confirmed a return of the oldschool jerseys in recent weeks and months.
