The new helmet will be used for the first time in the Thursday Night Game in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons.

This means the Panthers are dressed head to toe in black, which goes down particularly well with the players. “Sometimes the players develop a different self depending on what they are wearing. For the first time, two helmets allowed

This season, the NFL will allow two different helmets per team for the first time. Until now, this was prohibited for safety reasons.
