Apparently he died in a traffic accident. This was announced by Adam Schefter of ESPN via Twitter. According to the report, Gladney’s agent Brian Overstreet has confirmed the tragic cause of the accident.
Tragic news: Former TCU standout and Vikings’ first-round pick Jeff Gladney was killed in an overnight car accident in the Dallas area, his agent Brian Overstreet confirmed today. Gladney was 25 years old.

Gladney was drafted 31st overall by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.

One of the first NFL players to react to the horrific news was Eagles receiver Jalen Reagor.
“I lost my brother, my best friend, my right hand today,” the 23-year-old wrote on Twitter. “Damn I can’t take much more. “

In college, the two youngsters had played together for the TCU Horned Frogs. In 2020, both had entered the NFL as first-round picks.
The Cardinals are also grieving. “We are devastated by the passing of Jeff Gladney,” the franchise said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to his family, friends and all who mourn him.”
