Joe Burrow has become one of the most respected quarterbacks in the NFL. Already in college, the now 25-year-old drew attention to himself, even off the field. At the end of his time with the LSU Tigers, he almost ended up in jail.
Munich – The victory cigar has become his trademark. In the past, however, this ritual almost became Joe Burrow’s undoing, as the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback now revealed on the “Full Send” podcast.
“We were all going to smoke cigars in the locker room. We started and the cops came in,” Burrow recalled. “I guess you couldn’t smoke inside and they started arresting people. We were like, ‘What’s going on? Come on!'”

The scenes occurred after Burrow won the NCAA final in January 2020, which he and his teammates were celebrating in style in the catacombs of the Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans. In the end, however, neither the quarterback nor any of his teammates went to jail.
Next Cigar in New Orleans 2025?
By the way, Burrow’s next chance to play in the final game in New Orleans will come as early as 2025 in Super Bowl LIX, which will be held at the Superdome. If successful, “Joe Cool” would hardly give up the winning cigar, despite the bad experience.
2020 he won 42-25 with LSU against Clemson, Burrow finished with 463 yards and five touchdowns.
