Bud Dupree, linebacker for the Tennessee Titans, is facing an assault charge. He paid a visit to police on Friday morning, with a hearing to follow in April.

The Tennessee Titans linebacker is accused of being involved in an altercation with employees of the US pharmacy chain Walgreens in early January and faces a related assault charge.

On Friday, Dupree made an appearance at the responsible police authority, as reported by the US newspaper “The Tennessean”, among others. According to the report, he was briefly detained, left his fingerprint, had his picture taken for the obligatory police photo and was released again.

The 29-year-old is accused of first verbally and then physically assaulting two employees. By the time the police arrived at the scene, Dupree had already disappeared.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for 22 April.
