NFL: After knee injury in Super Bowl – Joe Burrow does not need surgery

In the Super Bowl, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffers a knee injury shortly before the end of the game. Now, apparently, he’s been given the all-clear. Surgery will not be needed in the offseason.

Munich – Good news from the Cincinnati Bengals. According to “NFL Network”, quarterback Joe Burrow will not need surgery on the knee he injured in the Super Bowl. This is the result of initial tests.

According to the report, the playmaker will have to undergo various rehabilitation measures, but the offseason is not expected to be significantly affected.

In the last quarter of the Super Bowl, the signal caller had injured himself on a sack and was initially laid up on the field. A short time later, however, he got back up and limped to the sideline. Burrow did not miss a snap afterwards, however.

The 25-year-old himself is probably most relieved about the news. His rookie season ended with a torn cruciate ligament.

In the coming season, the Bengals’ main concern will be to prevent him from being sacked 70 times again.
