The Los Angeles Rams fear for their wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior. The superstar had to leave the field in the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals with a knee injury.
Munich/Los Angeles- Despite the victory in Super Bowl 56: The Los Angeles Rams and their wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior are facing bad news.
A few minutes before the halftime break, Beckham injured himself after a short pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford without any outside interference. Beckham turned during his pass route to the ball and stepped awkwardly on his left foot.
The 29-year-old immediately held his left knee and received treatment on the field for several minutes before having to leave the field and go to the dressing room for further examination.
According to consistent media reports – including NFL insider Ian Rapoport – Beckham tore his ACL.
OBJ already tore his ACL once against the Bengals
With one touchdown and 52 receiving yards, OBJ was the Rams’ most productive pass receiver in the Super Bowl until the knee injury.
Beckham previously suffered a left knee injury in a game against the Bengals: He suffered a torn ACL against the Cincinnati franchise in October 2020 – then still wearing a Cleveland Browns jersey.
