Urban Meyer, head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is making headlines again. After incidents within the team, his time in Florida could soon be over.
Munich – Is Urban Meyer’s time as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars already coming to an end?
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, there have been several altercations between Meyer and players, as well as other coaches, in recent weeks. During a team meeting, the 57-year-old allegedly called himself a winner and his assistant coaches “losers”. Moreover, he always blames others for defeats.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Meyer caused a scandal
It’s not the first time this year Meyer has made headlines. After a loss to the Cincinnati Benglas in week four, he didn’t fly back to Jacksonville with the team, instead visiting family and friends in Ohio. Later, a video became public on social media showing Meyer with other women, even though he is married.
Rumours of an early dismissal had already been raised at the time, but Meyer apologised to the team. Owner Shad Khan saw no reason to fire his head coach.
The Jaguars have only won two games this season and are tied with the Houston Texans for last place in the AFC with a 2-10 record.
